Compaq Presario CQ40-116TU Windows XP Driver

This driver also work for Compaq Presario CQ40-324TU. Suggest that you update your BIOS before installing this driver below.

Intel Chipset,(install and reboot before other drivers):
INF Update Utility - Primarily for Intel® 4, 3, 900 Series Chipsets

MS UAA (required with a reboot before Audio an video (HDMI) drivers)

Important note:
After reboot, please confirm the installation by checking in Device Manager under System Devices to see if MS UAA installed properly.

There should be a listing for Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio.

If not, you should have a PCI with yellow!.
Right click it and Update Driver,
No to Connect, No to Search and last Install Automatically.

Do manual installation
Go to device manager, right click unknown device,
Choose to update driver, No to connect,
Choose install from a list or specific location, Don't search, Have disk,
Browse to the location of machine.inf.Do it for the rest of unknown devices

2) HD Audio, HD Modem and HDMI
At first there is no these devices appear on Device Manager. After using DEVCON.EXE and

follows answertome instructions these device then appear on Device Manager.

The instructions are
create a file start_audio.bat, write on it such string devcon.exe restart "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_293E" ,

then save it to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

or download it from here

download the file DEVCON.EXE from microsoft.

Unzip the file, you have two folders copy the i386\devcon.exe into c:\windows

When you see new hardware detected then use these drivers
